Twista Taking Everyone on a Biblical Odyssey

Ask yourself, when was the last time you heard Twista on the mic and his verse was so hype you had to get out of your chair? It's been a while for me, but I will say his lyrical gasoline has kept my fire for Hip Hop alive over the years. Lucky for us, an up and comer going by the name of Apathy reeled in both Twista and Bun B for the lead single off his debut LP Handshakes With Snakes.

I know what you're thinking, a song like Moses has to have some biblical ties to it, right? Good guess and there are a few religious references sprinkled in the mix, but the main focus here is how everyone stepped it up on the mic. The steady thumping beat isn't anything to write home about, but it perfectly sets the table and gets the hell out of the way, allowing the lyricists to do work. The track inspired a lot of nostalgia for me, taking me back to a time when OGs like Twista and Bun were on top of the music world. I'll always hold them in the highest regard and the track below did nothing but polish off their plaques in my mental Hip Hop Hall of Fame...#Moses
