Ave Cesaria Gets a Major Upgrade

About five years ago, I posted Kanye's remix of Stromae's Alors on Danse. That's about the extent of the Belgian's discography I'm familiar with, but I will cop to seeing his name pop up often at many of the concert venues that I frequent. Most recently that was the Fox Theater in Oakland, but I didn't pull the trigger on tickets. If I would have known about Major Lazer remixing his latest single, things might have been different. Don't get hung up on the lack of English lyrics or foreign Euro-pop sound Ave Cesaria is a catchy track. So catchy that Major Lazer took it upon themselves to add some depth to the original and spin it into a dancehall track. The vocals and instrumental samples are sprinkled throughout, but it's the reverberating rhythms that you'll quickly associate with with Major Lazer's sound. Open your mind to this one and you'll be pleasantly surprised with the combination of styles...#AveCesaria
