"We All Sing Along, But the Notes Are Wrong"
There are few groups that literally breathe fresh air into the music industry every time they decide to make new music. Over the past two years, this blog has evolved into an everyday source for new EDM with Hip Hop filling in the gaps, but there will always be a place for Matt & Kim on this property of the internet. Despite usually trying in vain to categorize music into silos of genres and sub-genres, there's a clear "good" genre that doesn't need any labels. That, my friends, is where you can find music from the famed Brooklyn duo.
What is prompting all of this effusive praise is the announcement of the release of their 5th studio album, New Glow, on April 7th. Leading the way on their new album will be their bouncy new lead single Get It. As per usual, infectious doesn't even begin to explain how addicting and fun the track sounds. It's a stay up all night, make questionable decisions track that has more than enough live instrumentation to keep you engaged and listening. It's a downright awesome mix of good vibes sprinkled over the course of three minutes. Not sure if you can tell, but I'm excited and the announcement of a new album means I may be able to knock "see Matt & Kim in concert" off my bucket list...#NewGlow
