1 Year Later...

365 days, 269 posts , 11,598 page views, 5,543 visitors later, the blog you are now reading just turned one year old. Needless to say it's been a work in progress and I've managed to keep the majority of my body dry as my feet get wet. I haven't even scratched the surface and don't claim to be anything close to a pro at blogging...yet, but I can tell you I do still enjoy sharing my opinion with whoever wants to listen as much as I did a year ago. I've made it a priority to keep evolving my Monthly Song List and incorporating it into the blog has turned out to be a great decision. It's been a constant grind deciding what to post daily (I have over 50 posts queued up that never reached the light of day due to time constraints), but as more managers come to me with new material from their artists, I look forward to new opportunities coming this next year...who knows maybe I'll stop being lazy and promote it a bit so that 72% of my traffic doesn't come from Google searches...hah!

Either way, thanks for tuning in, I hope this blog has become a forum you feel like you can visit daily for quality new music mixed with a whole lot of pertinent info. I've got a lot of new plans for growing the blog the next year and was planning a redesign for the one year anniversary, but changing a few images/colors wouldn't do justice to what's ahead....stay tuned y'all, it's gonna get a whole lot better before it gets worse...

As a one year parting gift, I'll leave you with a Yelawolf live performance of his Pop the Trunk track featuring none other than Blink's Travis Barker. The track surfaced back in November, but has been getting more attention of late with @TRAVISBARKER adding a whole nother element to his already bangin' track. I'm becoming a big believer in @yelawolf, especially after hearing that ridiculous verse he dropped on Big K.R.I.T.'s Hometown Heroes track. He's got the same rapid-fire, multisyllabic, gatling gun sound that is rarely heard these days by artists not named Twista or Tech N9ne. His delivery is damn near a perfect fit for the rat-a-tat of Travis's aggressive style on the drums...check it...

Final Sidebar: Who in their right minds would have ever thought this post would be my most visited one in the past year? Wasn't even close either, we're talking 1,700 views and counting, whereas 522 came in 2nd place with this post...
