"I Swear I'll Love You in a Different Way"

Have Diplo and DJ Snake been hanging out recently? I ask because the beat on A Different Way reeks of calypso, Caribbean vibes that I'd normally associate with a Diplo beat. Leveraging some smooth R&B vocals from Lauv, there's even some boy-band appeal buried in the track below. The chopped up scat-like vocals add some flavor to the otherwise chill track. With R&B quickly becoming a dinosaur, it's nice hearing a big name DJ invite it under the umbrella of EDM. The more I listen to it, the more memorized I am with the gentle percussion on the beat.
