Where original version has a methodical pace to it, the extended mix has a bit more tempo to it. The extended cut amplifies the instrumental grey area between the vocals and puts a greater focus on the repetitious ringing synth rhythm. Nothing against the original, but I'm much more of a beat guy and this is another great example of why that is the case.
