It's On Again...Alicia Keys is Back

Out of the Marvel comic movies, I'm not ashamed to say that the Spider Man movies are my least favorite. Given, there's still competition with X-men and Avengers leading the way, but I still feel like the apathy I have toward the series puts me in the minority. Either way, The Amazing Spiderman II is coming soon and with it a formidable soundtrack.

It doesn't get more buzzy that a new track by Alicia Keys featuring Kendrick Lamar and produced by Pharrell. The only problem with the sticker shock is the expectation that ensues as a result of the names on the track. Unfortunately, the track didn't surpass my lofty expectations, but it was cool hearing Alicia over a funky beat. The 0 to 60 ferocity that Kendrick attacked the mic was a little unnerving, but it's now becoming a part of his aura as an artist. It worked well on the Radioactive remix, not so much on the smooth grooves of It's on Again. Combine this beat with Pharrell's new one Gust of Wind and I'm starting buy into the prospect of P carrying the torch of funk into the future. I'm iffy in seeing the movie, but the Soundtrack looks to have a lot of potential...#ItsOnAgain
