"Make Me Wanna Rent a Room Up in This Chateau"

There's a short list of slept on producers in Hip Hop that I really wish would get the respect they deserve. Near the top of that list sits the Blended Babies who always seem to bring together top notch lyrical talent to chip in verses over their beats. The latest example of such is a solid crew of Hip Hop talent led by Asher Roth and Sir Michael Rocks. He may not be a household name as a solo artist, but Like of Pac Div always packs a quality verse when given the opportunity.

The most interesting aspect of Shadows (below) is the presence of Jon B. Whatever happened to Jon B? I remember back in the day when They Don't Know was slow jam of the year back in 1998. It's good to hear his smooth vocals on a track a whopping 17 years later! Smooth Hip Hop is hard to come by these days, so enjoy this hidden gem y'all...#Shadows

"What You Think Man Time To Rob a Bank"

I've said it for a long time and I'll continue to repeat it until everyone gets it. @itspacdiv is one of the best Hip Hop groups in the game hands down, no doubt about it. I would say the best, but it's hard to slight their kinfolk @thecoolkids when Mikey and Chuck have been putting out similar dope material.

One thing that sets both groups apart from the pack (no pun intended) is their ability to include trunk rattling bass on their singles. With the help of @SCOOPDEVILLE, they earned the 808 Check label on Bank. First thought that comes to mind when hearing the beat is hyphy with the bouncy, Bay Area bass leading the way. All things considered, the track goes harder than Stephan Feck's splash off the 3m diving board at the Olympics. #EpicFail

Word has it this lil dime bag of audio awesomeness is going to land on Pac Div's new GMB album due out October 16th. If the upcoming release by the group doesn't make you excited in the least bit, then you my friend are reading the wrong blog...#ClickTheXTopRightCorner

The Div Pac Heat Like It's Their Job

Now that I've posted damn near every track off @itsPacDiv's newest release(The Div), I suppose it would be appropriate for me to pick a favorite track on the album. It was a tough choice and ended up being a push between the No I.D. produced Greatness and the track below, Top Down. To be completely honest, it's a mood dependent choice between the two tracks. If I'm in the mood for an uplifting, inspirational joint, I go with Greatness, otherwise I stick with the more traditional, big bass, quick wit rhymes of Top Down.

The only real takeaway from this post should be that Pac Div continues to be one of the best Hip Hop groups out that more people need to know about and appreciate. Shout out to @caseyveggies and @skeme on the features and @swiffd on the beat. The names may seem foreign now, but they've got just as much of a stake in the game as a lot of other over-rated muh fuggas that are coveted and sell more than their music would suggest. Can I get a hashtag truth?? #TRUTH

Videos of the Week

Key takeaway from this week's lineup of videos is that @common has a knack for producing art. Not only was Blue Sky a moving song to listen to, but the video was equally as motivational, emotional, well put together and symbolic all at once. As far as under appreciated artists in Hip Hop, there are few who have done it as long and been as consistent as Common has over the years...#Respect

 Enjoy your Friday night folks...
