"My Rollie so Racist, All Black Faces"

After making a big splash with his debut album Camp, @donaldglover is back for round two in the form of a new mixtape. The yet to be titled mixtape is supposed to drop next week and will feature the previously released track Unnecessary with @SCHOOLBOYQ and his new one below featuring a verse from @nipseyhussle and production from one of Canada's finest, @Boi1da. Also, it's the first feature I've seen from Boi-1da proteges The Maven Brothers (@zalezy and @BretRyan).

Luckily for us, Donald was nice enough to post the track for download on his website along with an interesting commentary by Big Ghost aka Childish Gambino/Donald Glover imitating Ghostface Killah while providing commentary on new songs...
The lyrics on Black Faces of American Chariot (according to @samspratt the artist who provided the cover art) go hard and send a clear message that the new kids on the block are on some new shit. They're about gaining and keeping wealth instead of spending wealth so their family and future generations can come up. It's an interesting, enlightened message that is clearly aimed at a new school train of thought. I say more power to them, there's a lot of intelligence in that message.

Keep an eye out for that new mixtape next week and if you're like me, you've already signed on to see Childish live this summer on his Camp Tour...#SummerConcerts

Videos of the Week

Love the shirt above! "I wish a mother fu@%er would say I ain't Hip Hop." Now you may look at the videos below and not recognize too many familiar names or songs, but it's probably one of my favorite Friday video posts in quite a while. For starters, you've got the delightfully country mud/proud redneck fest that is @Yelawolf's Let's Roll video. Coming in right behind that you'll find the @kfuckingp Eastbound and Down Season 3 trailer (coming Feb 19th) and quite possibly the most entertaining Hip Hop artist (@playboytre) going OFF on some dude who decided to hate on his birthday party. If you don't like vulgar, in your face, creative insults delivered in countrayass tone then you should probably skip over that one. In other words, plenty of variety below folks, hope this signifies a fun start to the weekend...#LetsGetDrunk

"Ain't Talkin' Bout Apple But iMac"

What the hell, why not let a mix of young G's and OG's from south of the Bay Area have a crack at Drizzy's track The Motto? With the video in the editing room ready to drop this week, the hype will only continue for one of the most bangin' tracks in 2011. Obviously y'all recognize uncle @snoopdogg, but you may be hearing about Compton's own @defjamyg and LA's finest, @nipseyhussle. Both are steadily making a name for themselves and the remix below should lend credence as to why.

Only thing I wish I could have gotten out of the nice remix below is a different verse from @drake. You wanna talk about re-upping a single's potential, all that would have been needed is a fresh, new verse. Kinda #weaksauce that the version below is edited too, but beggars can't be choosers. Keep it locked for the real version...we keep it 100 in this area of the internet. Compton/LA area rap should never be censored under any circumstances. I can only think of one video to describe how I feel about the remix below being edited...

"They Only Love Ya When Ya On"

I'd consider myself a passive fan of Chamillionaire music...and when I say passive I mean I'd probably never buy a whole album, but there are some songs that he puts out that snatch up my attention quicker than a Rosa Acosta/Amber Rose kiss. As an aside, much bigger fan of the Natalie Portman/Mila Kunis Black Swan scene, which was deemed a lit-tle too inappropriate for the internet.

Anyways, focus you pervs! Like I was saying, once every Hoegaarden(Blue Moon gets too much love for being average), @CHAMILLIONAIRE drops a dope track that immediately steals away my attention from all other music because it's kickassedness. The track below isn't just hot because Grammy Award winning producer Andrew Dawson (check out his mixing/engineering credits) did the beat, it's hot because Nipsey beats the breaks off his verse. Maybe it's the laid back West Coast feel of the beat (like something Westside Connection would go in on), but something about the way @NIPSEYHUSSLE sounds over it with his LA swag just fits.

I can see why they're callin' this Andrew Dawson cat Kanye's secret weapon, dude knows how to mix and engineer a beat. Matter a fact, after seein his production/mixing credits with Cudi, T.I. and damn near all of Kanye's albums, I'm starting to feel like he's got my attention every time he punches the clock. Definitely adding him to the list of behind the boards stars that deserve to be recognized every time they're on a track because they're just as important to the finished product you reading this ends up tasting.

This one will presumably be off Cham's upcoming release Venom due out in March. Feel free to cool out to this and admire the young spitta Nip Hussle, play button is a must and while you're at it check iTunes...
