"Cause Nobody Really Knows Me At All"

At this point, EDM has been twisted and pulled in every imaginable direction, pulling in influences from genres ranging from Hip Hop to Country. What I have yet to hear is a listenable EDM and Blues collaboration...until today. Thanks to Autograf's mix of quiet piano, somber vocals and synths that would make any Stranger Things fan cream their pants, I finally have a frame of reference.

Nobody Knows is a perfect rainy day song. If you're into depressing lyrics and soulful vocals that cut right to the bone, you'll dig this one as much as I dig. Rent or buy if you're seeing eye to eye on Autograf's new one...#NobodyKnows

"My Heartbeat Baby, Won't Let You Down"

The proliferation of EDM tracks into mainstream music has brought about a lot of cool cross-genre collaborations. We've gotten a taste of Country through Newgrass, some Hip Hop sprinkled in through Trap and even some exotic rhythms via Tropical House. If electronic music is missing anything, it's a dose of soul music like on Autograf's new track, Heartbeat.

What you can expect when you press play below is a mellow, mid-tempo jam with a distinctive soul sample. It's so mellow that you'd be hard pressed convincing me that it's electronic. It's more piano driven than synth driven, giving off an easy-going vibe. The song will be surfacing on Autograf's five song Future Soup EP that is due out on March 11th. At this point, I've posted the first two tracks from the EP and there's a better than average chance you'll see the next three tracks in this neighborhood of the internet in the coming weeks. What I'm trying to say is, I think Autograf makes really good music and you should too...#FutureSoup

Autograf Dishes Out a Warm Bowl of Future Soup

Hopefully you came to this neighborhood of the internet for some high energy, crisp house music tonight because Autograf came correct with his new one. With the help of some soulful vocals from Patrick Baker, Future Soup excels in its mix of wobbly chords and heavy bass. As an added bonus, you're in for a head massage treatment if you have some decent headphones. On a personal note, I appreciate it when there's a concerted effort made to set the tone on a track before brining in the vocals. That's exactly what Autograf did on his new one, which made me appreciate the complimentary vocals that much more. If you're a fan of the track, it will be released as part of a five song Future Soup EP that will be arriving on digital e-tailers on March 11th. Until then, join me in keeping this one on heavy repeat for the next month...#FutureSoup

"You've Been Metaphysical"

Follow me off the beaten path to a funky world where bubbly synths, quiet strings and subtle piano chords intersect. Simply put, you're not going to hear a song as unique as Metaphysical this week. Led by the awesome vocals delivered by Janelle Kroll, Autograf managed piece together a really interesting concoction of rhythmic and chill. There are beat breakdowns that will leave you in awe at the cavalcade of upbeat instrumentation that is combined together in harmony. If you frequent this property of the internet, you've probably seen a few Autograf remixes I've posted over the past year. If I ever discounted his talents as residing only in the remix world, I certainly apologize for that oversight. Do your music library a favor and add this unique burst of energy so that you can sleep well tonight knowing your collection just got a bit more interesting...#Metaphysical

Waiting For Love Got Autograffed

One thing I know to be certain is that when you remix an Avicii track, you had better come correct. Oh and you better not expect to top the original, your best shot is reimagining a track and taking it an entirely new direction. That is exactly what Autograf did to Avicii's Waiting For Love. He deconstructed the beat, picked and chose elements and rearranged them in a slightly new way. Where the original was more of a sing along pop dance track, Autograf's remix was slightly funkier and much more bouncy. If you're wondering what I mean, fast forward to the two minute mark where the track sounds vaguely like the original, but with a more bubbly chord progression. If you're looking for an example of an artist taking on a herculean challenge and completely owning it, give this one a listen...#LeaveYourAutograf

Autograf Breathes Fresh Air Into Gust of Wind

A few months back I raved about the original version of Pharrell and Daft Punk's Gust of Wind for its undeniable funk. I still have yet to remove the track from my go-to playlists, which is a feat in and of itself. Now, thanks to Autograf, we have an electronic version that's ripe for summer. It's not a huge departure from the original, but the whole "Future House" feel of the track provides enough poolside appeal to be a solid addition to your upcoming party playlist...#GustOfWind
