Lorde & Friends Blow It Up on Homemade Dynamite Remix

When Lorde first burst onto the scene, it was clear that the youngin' from New Zealand was destined for success. Her sultry vocals have always made her seem more seasoned than her age may suggest. Even better, after two successful album releases, she's now taking her career to the next level with interesting collabos like the one below. Teaming up with vocalists like Post Malone, Khalid, and SZA may not seem like a huge step forward, but I'd argue it is because she's really pushing to translate her music to new audiences now. There isn't a lot to hang you hat on these days with R&B, but I'd argue that the three artists she chose for the Homemade Dynamite Remix are the ones fighting to keep the genre relevant in Pop music. It's a really chill remix with plenty of bars to hang your hat on. Follow me on over to iTunes or Spotify to cop this new hotness...

"I Don't Know What's Gonna Come Tomorrow"

At first glance, Flosstradamus with Post Malone seems like an odd, but intriguing pairing. Then you press play and it doesn't sound all that out of place. To be fair, though, the beat is pretty tame compared to the usual speaker assault that Flosstradamus usually puts on. It's much more of a slow trap or future bass sound, which again, isn't very Flossy, but I kinda dig it. At the very least, it wasn't what I expected, but being surprised isn't always a bad thing. It's much more of a cooled out track that you can ride out to, but there's plenty of room on my playlists for songs of that nature...#CameUp

"I Just Wanna Go Flex, Gold on My Teeth and on My Neck"

The great thing about music is that talent is ultimately awarded no matter where a person came from or what they look like. There are very few professions in the world that genuinely reward talented people and give them a shot at making a career out of it like music. I'm prefacing this post because on first glance, there's nothing on first glance that seems remarkable about Austin Post. Keepin' it 100, he looks like an gleeful, unkempt stoner, which in many walks of life would result in whatever talents he might have being dismissed.

But this is music and music awards the grind of following your passion to a point that it will drive you to the brink of either bankruptcy or fame. For Post, it took him from Syracuse to LA to finally Houston before he broke through with White Iverson. His music style fits the melodic, edgy trend of what we'd now characterize as R&B. Don't expect any mind blowing, inspirational lyrics, but do expect an addictive, mellow melody that fits perfectly over an acoustic beat. Even though Post will forever be remembered for White Iverson, Go Flex is by far my favorite track of his to date. The gold grill, the rough around the edges appearance and lyrics, it's unlike anyone else you've seen, which is why he's already found his lane in music. Shoot, he even choked Bieber which we can all get behind as we cool out to his edgy slow jam below...#GoFlex

Flosstradamus Makes a Jack U & Post Malone Sandwich

Those of you thinking that Cyber Monday is strictly for online purchases need to check yourself. Flosstradamus just flipped that assumption on it's head with their mashup of Jack Ü's Where R Ü and Post Malone's White Iverson. The track starts out innocently enough, but when the hook comes around it all comes together like that relationship between two of your good friends that you never saw coming. It shouldn't be a big surprise, but Post's vocals work pretty well over the bouncy Diplo/Skrillex beat. It's seamless enough that you could convince me his vocals were meant to be there from the start. Credit Flossy for being creative enough to mash these previously unrelated hits into a brand new reincarnation...#WhiteIverson
