Take Ü There Got a Makeover by LDRU

I've posted a few LDRU remixes and each one has been better than the last. This time he decided to tackle Jack Ü's latest single Take Ü There. Below is the original version of the track for reference...

The remix leverages the original vocals from Kiesza, but slows it down a bit, adding in twangy synths that gives the beat a bit more bounce. In hindsight, the beat sounds a lot more stripped down and easy-going, which isn't a surprise given that LDRU is known for Trop House. Quick aside, after seeing Thomas Jack in Tahoe at Snow Globe, I can definitely say that Trop House is thriving and continuing to grow like a weed in popularity. If there's one thing I have a rooting interest for in the music world, it's that Tropical House continues to become mainstay in popular music...#TropHouse

The Australian EDM Scene is Flourishing

This whole Tropical House movement is starting to grow legs and gain some momentum. I'll admit there's a soothing, melodic vibe to the movement that's hard discount. I posted LDRU's remix of Miami Horror a few months back and their new one with Yahtzel has the same bassline intensity, but The Only One is much more laid back and breezy. Feel free and add this to the mounting evidence that the Australian dance music scene and growing rapidly. I enjoy the fact that we're still able to experience their new directions with EDM despite being half a world away. I say keep it comin', the world could always use more perspectives on dance music...#TheOnlyOne

Miami Horror LDRU Style

ing
Full disclosure, I'm about two months late on posting LDRU's remix of Miami Horror's Real Slow. Just because I've been waiting for a rainy snowy day to post it, doesn't make it any less awesome, though. The mix of funk filled, back and forth rhythms that are made up of synthesizers and a whole lotta bass sit well with this guy right here. Feel free and add LDRU to the list of up and coming Australian EDM producers that are making noise around the globe. It's getting to the point that I'm thinking of dubbing the land down under as the mini-Netherlands with the amount of talent that has risen up of late. Still, I gotta give some love to the original effort put forth by Miami Horror because they laid the groundwork for the remix. When something starts awesome, it's a lot easier to make it more awesome. That being said, LDRU's version trumps the original by a mile...#LDRU
