Despite losing the legendary branding that surrounded the name Swedish House Mafia, Axwell Λ Ingrosso continue to make great music as a duo. They lit it up at Coachella this weekend and as a bit of icing on the cake, released a new video for their new single Sun is Shining. Check out the video which incorporates a bit of their Ultra Music Festival performance below...

I wouldn't say I enjoy their new one as much as I did On My Way, but that track has been a mainstay on playlists of mine for the better part a of month. I'd be splitting hairs trying to critique the track because the lyrics are inspirational and the overall vibe of the track is uplifting. You know I get excited about that type of stuff, so that shouldn't be a surprise. You'll have to wait another week and a half to cop this new one digitally, but that shouldn't prevent you from putting it on repeat until then...#SunIsShining

Axwell Λ Ingrosso Are Back With a Vengeance

Back in June 2012, I was among the massive amount of people who were disappointed that Swedish House Mafia was breaking up. The trio of Axwell, Sebastian Ingrosso and Steve Angello seemed be on their A game with every release, helping take EDM from that genre folks over in Europe listen to all the way to mainstream pop in the US. For those lamenting over their breakup, fear not, their mostly back in a slightly different incarnation.

Shoot, if you're telling me I can't have the trio, I'll take two of the three continuing to make great music. Keeping up with the times, Def Jam will soon be releasing Axwell Λ Ingrosso's upcoming single Can't Hold Us Down in the coming weeks. The track keeps the energy up from the start, showcasing high-pitched synths that take no prisoners with plenty of bass to boot. In the six minutes the duo take you on a roller coaster that has much more peaks that valleys. I'm with you optimists, let's collectively hope that this is the tip of the iceberg of new music from the majority of Swedish House Mafia...#CantHoldUsDown

We Come, We Rave, We Love

With a song title like "We Come, We Rave, We Love", you knew there had to be some chanting involved on Axwell and Sebastian Ingrosso's new one. For those of you who aren't aware, Axwell and Sebastian Ingrosso were two of the three members of Swedish House Mafia before they hit the end of the road as a group. The end was clearly amicable because they're still making great music together.

The computerized chanting around the 2:40 mark in between drops will be what people remember about the track, but the eruption of synths post-drop are the real deal. Lots of ebb and flow this this one if you're in the mood for an adventure...#WeComeWeRaveWeLove

"Don't You Worry Child, See Heaven's Got a Plan For You"

If it were your choice, would you rather go out on top like John Elway or bleed out your career like the Michael Jordans and Brett Favres of the world? I'm betting that's a pretty cut and dried answer, but stupid rhetorical question aside, it seems as if @swedishousemfia is trying to do the former when they release their upcoming album One Night Stand months after announcing they would be calling it quits as a group. My take on it is, yea it's a bummer that they're collectively hanging it up as a group, but like any sum of parts, the individuals are capable of doing great things too (Sebastian, Axwell and Steve).

Living in the now, their newest release below is aided in a big part by their vocalist extraordinaire @the_johnmartin. You might remember his booming vocals on Save the World? I wouldn't quite put the track below in the category of the former, but it's still a great single. Comparatively, Don't You Worry is more upbeat and just might have you cutting a rug on the dance floor rather than grabbing the person next to you and yelling out a hook together like it's the last song of the night (Journey style.

Solid single no matter how you slice it. Looking forward to hearing their (presumably) last album in it's entirety...#DYWC
