"Your Love Kills Me Like a Homicide"

All I really need as consumer of music is a Diplo beat mixed with some type of vocal talent. I say some type of vocal talent, but that doesn't begin to describe the star power on Bang Bang. Featuring a soulful pre-hook by Selah Sue, chorus from R City, and a drop the mic closing verse from Craig David, there's more than enough star power to carry the track. You'll notice hints of reggae (I see you Diplo), some horns, and a stop and go-tempo to keep you on your toes. It's going to sound cliche, but this is the type of track you'll find both your little cousin singing, as well as your parents. It's not easy to produce a track that has the potential to be so universally well-received, but DJ Fresh and Diplo may have found a way to do it...#BangBanghttps://twitter.com/hashtag/BangBang?src=hash

"Til the Sunrise Pull an All Nightah"

Last week Kill the Noise dropped a fresh new album that has been the talk of the EDM world. To be blunt, Occult Classic is a ten song musical assault on the eardrums. The most hype of the bunch is without a doubt the Tommy Trash and R. City assisted Louder. You could convince me it's a bit repetitive, but the post-drop madness is worth the price of admission.

As a quick side note, about five years ago I posted quite a few Rock City tracks and was always quick to serve them up dap for their writing and vocal abilities. It's cool to seem them crossing over and dabbling into the world of synthesizers. Head on over to Soundcloud to stream the entire album and if you feel so inclined to drop KTN a few dimes, iTunes has your back...#OccultClassic

"We'll Be Bouncing Like the Springs on the Bed"

The track below comes off Chris Brown's new "officially" released mixtape titled In My Zone 2, which has garnered a bronze rating on Datpiff for over 25,000 downloads (now up to 47k) in a span of 17 days. Consider this a bouncy (I know, corny considering the song title), mid-tempo, more than suggestive effort that goes down smooth (I just cringed when I wrote that, not parsing words well tonight). The beat is quirky, but different and credit is due to the underrated ghostwriter duo known as Rock City. Including this one, they're behind a lot of R&B tracks that they demo for the top artists like IYAZ, Keri Hilson, R Kelly, Justin Bieber, T.I., Flo Rida, Rihanna...the list of credits is a mile long. You may recognize their trademark Island dialect "Right aboat know!" at the beginning of a lot of tracks by @r_city. They've got a new single out prod by David Guetta titled Morning, Noon & Night that deserves a listen too while you're at it. Correction: The track is produced by Shandre, not Rock City, so my bad on that, go ahead and give @ESBProductionz some of the dap I gave Rock City for the work behind the boards.

It's a little over the top with the lyrics, but chalk this up to another well delivered effort by @CHRISBROWN. Don't neglect his new mixtape, it has a bunch of quality tracks that are worth a listen like this one and this one. Still digging his bonus track off In The Zone vol 1...definitely top 5 BMM track #IMO. Real question is when in 2011 are we gonna get F.A.M.E.

Poll question of the day: Are you back to taking CB at face value for his music or are you still holding the Rihanna domestic abuse against him? Forgive, don't forget, have faith in change, but recognize the uphill battle mentally of someone who grew up in an environment that catered to how he acted...#FoodForThought...

Top R&B Song of Feb - Pitbull feat Janet Jackson Machel Montano & Rock City - Not My Love (prod by Darkchild)

This track was initially a Pitbull only track, but in the past week, a version with Janet, Rock City and Machel Montano popped up, dwarfing the already stellar first effort made by Pitbull on a solo tip. I would have been happy with the Pitbull/Darkchild collabo by itself, just to mix in a little different sound from all his Jim Jonsin masterpieces...now you add in a little Janet??? It's over with...

This was hands down the favorite of all R&B/Hip Hop songs last month to get some serious spins in the club and similarly a clear favorite of all the ladies out there who have gotten a chance to give this a listen. While Janet and Pitbull will clearly eat up all the accolades for this track, Darkchild is the one who deserves the most for putting together this heat rock. If you aren't familiar with who he is shame on you, he's the one pictured above next to Pitbull in the blue hoody.

The fast paced percussive beginning that leads into a the heavy club bass-line, coercing all who listen to dance and nod their heads in unison. Janet really takes this track over the top with her vocal shadowing of Rock City's "Not My Love" chanting over the chorus. Really cool how Darkchild goes a little tribal on the chanting and eliminates the beat from the 2:55 mark to 3:10, giving the song some personality and focusing on the extremely well put together vocal onslaught between Rock City and Janet.

Definitely don't wanna sleep on this one...give it a listen before everyone else says it's their favorite song...haha...
