Sean Paul and Tory Lanez Will Keep Your Heart Protected

With every song Tory Lanez jumps on, I become a bigger fan. There's something about his emotion dripped delivery that lures in me every time he gets on the mic. In the past he's dabbled in reggae vibes, but his new one with one of the kings of Dancehall (Sean Paul) takes that dabbling to a new level. What you're getting below is a slow, rhythmic ballad from two talented vocalists. If you're a connoisseur of all things Sean Paul, you may have recognized the bouncy horn sample added to the beat toward the end of the track from one of my favorite tracks of his, Deport Dem. Love that track and how he sprinkled it into Tek Weh Yuh Heart to give the ending a but more pizazz. If you're interested, check the iTunes or Spotify for your listening pleasure...#TekWehYuhHeart

Major Lazer & Sean Paul Bring the Reggaeton Heat

Up to this point, I have posted 2/5 of Major Lazer's upcoming Apocalypse Soon EP. Seeing that the EP is going to be released tomorrow, it only makes sense to alert you to yet another bangin' track off of it. On the track, Sean Paul feels as comfortable as a monkey swingin' through treetops over the loud, reverberating reggaeton rhythms of Come on to Me. On the track, Major Lazer shows how they can take a really awesome concept (reggaeton) and stretch it to the limits of it's intended use by teasing in a bit of trap flavor around the 2:37 mark. Man, this EP is shaping up to be somethin' special, I tell you what...#ApocalypeSoon

Who Rocked it Better? Sean Paul feat Keri Hilson vs J-Status feat Shontelle

Who Rocked it Better??

J-Status feat Shontelle - Pieces Verry Underrated!

vs.

Sean Paul feat Keri Hilson - Hold My Hand New Hott!!

GWDJ Verdict: Difficult to reach a verdict on this one. Definitely one of the sexiest mellow reggae R&B beats I've heard in a while, dominated by addictive fretless bass. Despite my never-ending affinity for Keri and how well she sounds on this beat, I gotta give the nod to J-Status. Their melodic Reggae infused lyrics fit the song very well and Shontelle even adds a little accent to her verse, giving it more of an authentic feel. Can't go wrong with either, but if you twist my arm I'd pick J-Status.
